Investigation

20% weight

Investigation measures the depth and rigor of official inquiry into the event. It tracks which agencies or bodies investigated, their conclusions, confidence levels, and whether independent corroboration exists. A well-investigated event has multiple investigating bodies, formal conclusions, and corroborating evidence — even if the conclusion is 'unresolved.' This category captures the institutional response to the event.
